Essex U15 County Cup: KFCC are in Final/ ECB U15 National Club Championship
Kelvedon & Feering U15 are in the final after beating Horndon-on-the-Hill on Tuesday 23rd June by 53 runs. Kelvedon & Feering batted first and scored 173 for 6 (J. Parsons scoring 40 and L. Scott 31). Horndon-on-the-Hill were all out for 120. (See Essex U15 County Cup fixtures for details on this season's Essex U15 County Cup fixtures).
The Final will be held at Billericay's ground on Wednesday 8th July starting at 6pm.
After the County final the team can progress to the ECB U15 National Club Championship.

Sat 1st XI beat top of the table Great Dunmow
The Saturday 1st XI returned to form with an impressive away victory at top-of-the-table Great Dunmow (20 June). Stuart Warner, with a second Two Counties century of the season (his 4th of the season overall) and Gary Bellamy (63 not out) lead the way with the batting. Tris Peperell starred with the ball, taking 5 for 53, ably supported by the new ball attack of Alex and Josh Parsons and the wily spin of Ed Smith, backed up by some impressive keeping by Dan Yates.

'On the field' - Sat 1st XI / Sun 1st XI report by Ed Smith
The "emegence of a new spin threat" in Tris Peperell and "excellent glovework" from Dan Yates has seen the Saturday 1st XI start the season strongly. Read more here.
The Sunday 1st XI has seen Ed Pope and Stuart Warner battling each other, more than the opposition, to be the first to 500 runs for the season and the future of the Club looks very promising as younger players such as Josh Parsons and Patrick Aherne have been pushing hard for regular inclusion in the team. 25th Year & New Ground Celebrations
The Club officially opened the Second Ground on the Bank Holiday Monday.
Alan Butcher (ex-Surrey, Glamorgan and England) opened the new ground and the celebrations included a cricket match between a representative side from the Beaumont Seymour East Essex Women's Cricket League and KFCC ladies team - won by KFCC ladies.

Chairman's 25th Anniversary speech
"First of all let me thank everyone for coming today and supporting the club and enjoying the lunch prepared for us by Anne. Today marks a significant milestone in the history of Kelvedon and Feering Cricket Club. Having moved from a pitch that the club had occupied for many a year off London Road, presumably to make way for the A12 improvements, the club is now enjoying a dual celebration: its silver wedding or in other words 25 years on it’s the site in Rye Mill Lane and the opening of its second pitch located just over the road in the adjacent field..." Theft of Equipment
One sour note about the weekend.The Club was broken into on Friday night and lost between £600-700 of equipment. Please be vigilant around the Club and ensure all doors and windows are properly locked up before leaving.

Ashley Griffiths & Ian Stobbs put on 264 runs
Ashley Griffiths scored his maiden century and Ian Stobbs scored over 150 in a (possible) club record parnership of 264 which only failed by 2 runs to beat the league best 2nd wicket partnership for the Division C Sunday Team. 264 partnership report & pictures...

Jack Petchey Awards winner - May - Thomas Griffiths
Thomas Griffiths received his award for May for his coaching work with junior players, especially the youngest age group on Sundays. He is putting his money towards some equipment for ground maintenance. See Jack Petchey Award scheme for more information on the Awards and the 2009 winners.
